If he can be had for cheap, #NYR should take a look too. 21YO puck moving LD who is a solid skater and makes a good first pass.
Given what Sully has done for Borgen/Vaakanainen, I'd be hopeful he can do the same with Mintyukov, who has some rough defensive metrics last year and this year.

Ultimately, NYR need a hell of a lot more from Miller. This is a bad look after an awful shift by all 5 guys; Vally rightfully called out all 5 on the postgame show, specifically for losing the board battle that led to this goal. But context is important here because JT isn’t a guy who dogs it.

Not defending Miller, who has been brutal, but let’s unpack this clip:
1. This was at the end of a long shift (over 1 minute).
2. Neither the puck carrier nor the cutting Hutton are JT’s responsibility. He probably should cover the high slot filling in for Mika.
3. This needs to be a save.

What I find to be annoying about #NYR this year is they didn't need to trade Kreider, unless there was something else in the locker room that we don't know about.
Just don't re-sign Parssinen ($1.25m), don't sign Raddysh ($1.5m), trade Soucy ($3.25m), and don't overpay Borgen ($4.1m).
