Used to work in translations and be into politics (LibDem). Now happy to cruise and let others sort out the mess that not voting for Brexit and not for me has caused. Happily married to my wonderful husband, soon enough approaching 40 years together.

A wonderful start to the year for some. On the other side of Europe visa waivers are being introduced. We can only sort out the real problems like climate change by working together, not putting up barriers.

Delighted to see our favourite illegal immigrant steals the show yet again.

Hello from Spain!

Last night, we got asked if we thought it was a buffet by a couple who had lived in Tenerife for nearly 20 years but never bothered learning Spanish.

Really enjoyed this.

Silly, cheesy, camp but heartwarming. Hope it comes back for a second series.

What a surprise. #Brexit is the cause of Vauxhall's closure.
The truth comes out, but only from someone no longer associated with the firm.

(Pattern at Vauxhall was the same as at other firms: explicit Brexit warnings magically fell silent when the day to wield the axe came. Why? Because once the decision's made, they don't want to antagonise any customers.)

Just watched the first two episodes of #SmoggieQueens. So far, it's absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended and no idea why it's hidden away on @bbcthree.bsky.social

Remember the Tory election betting scam on the date of the election.

Sky news reporting as many as five people may be charged!

Jeez
A politician and a close protection guard are among those the Gambling Commission is looking to prosecute over bets placed on the date of the election
A source has told Sky's Jon Craig at least three - and as many as five - people may be charged

I've managed to put an old rainbow flag in my profile, but how do I get the latest version - and how can I also add an EU flag? Can anyone help?

Can anyone explain why there are so many Black Friday sales on already - and have been since the beginning of the month?

Surely the only thing anyone should want for Christmas is peace.

Sounds familiar…
Why are MAGA people still so angry at everyone online? They won. They’re getting the President they want back. The wokes have been defeated. Why are they still out there screaming at strangers to debate them? It’s gotta be tiring to be completely incapable of ever feeling good.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”
