I've had a couple of PhD applicants at different R1s reach out after their PIs recommended that they apply to our program given their research interests align with my lab work and what in the imposter syndrome is this. HELLO mid-career...is that what this is???

I don't understand how anyone can watch how blatantly Grok is manipulated to answer the way ownership desires it to and then act like the other LLM chatbots couldn't possibly be similarly but less obviously compromised to produce responses in whatever way corporate interests and priorities dictate.

It's not a sophisticated reaction, but my response to both "quiet, piggy" and the Coast Guard okaying swastikas and nooses is a deep sadness that the compassion we're working so hard to foster in our children will not just be challenged by schoolyard bullies but by the highest levels of society.

- Refused to condemn the rise of Neo-Nazis in his party
- Tried to block the release of further evidence he sexually abused children
- Encouraged the execution of Congressional Democrats
