Not expecting you to not stand by your piece. It’s sports opinion. We just disagree on who “qualifies” to be in the Hall. I don’t believe that your selections are qualified by any previous standards. Of course there are anecdotal cases to the contrary over the years. I stand by my original comment

Dan’s only voting for Pedroia was pathetic. But voters who vote for obvious unqualified candidates are what make it a farce. I think Shaughnessy actually has respect for the Hall more than most. His vote this year was not a good statement though

Just because “current generations are underrepresented “ doesn’t mean you have to overcompensate by voting for unqualified players. And yes, while I agree with Dan’s overall argument, I take issue with his vote for Pedroia. I hope that helps

Love you man but the “let everyone in with my ten votes” approach isn’t what the HOF represents IMO. It lessens the value of the award. I don’t believe all of those players, including Pedroia, merit a vote. He didn’t have a HOF career by any stretch. Oh well. I have spoken 🤓
