2024: The year my rent went up exponentially. The year I got my dream job I worked towards for three years, only to discover I actually hate doing it. The year my dad died. The year my close friend’s daughter took her own life.

2025 better as hell be at least a little better.

Was planning to spending this week catching up on 2024 releases, but a whole slew of Bollywood movies just landed on Netflix, so 🤷‍♂️

#NowWatching: Killjoy: Terrify (2024), Full Moon’s recut/Re-edit of the first Killjoy movie, to give it a completely different plot and pass it off as a new movie. I always hated the first movie, but I’m quite curious how recutting it turned out.

#NowWatching: Werewolves (2024). I still need to do my annual Silent Night, Deadly Night movie watch, but some movies I’ve been waiting for came out the last couple days.

Working a later shift today, so I got some time this morning before work to actually sit and relax with a coffee and catch up on some Christmas horror.

Absolutely this. One of the things that puts kids off reading is adults treating anything fun and accessible as being "the wrong way to read."

Guess what. If you make reading books a chore for kids, then they're simply going to stop reading books.
Another secret to getting kids to read is to get them to read comics.

Extremely digestible & accessible, quick reads, engaging for visual learners, and creates a buffer where kids are more open to reading abt diverse experiences that might have bored or disinterested them in another medium

The old Twitter rule still applies here, people: if I am talking about a movie I love, don't come into my mentions to tell me how much you hate it.

#NowWatching: Book of Monsters (2018). Rewatching before I watch the new movie by the same director. I’ve always really loved this one as it’s essentially a fun, campy, low budget R-Rated version of the recent Goosebumps movies.
