This (initial detention for 2-3 weeks followed by lateral transfer) finally did "work" at the Everglades...for ~1-2 months. Now seeing people going into their 2nd month there.

Not sure that it did much to "speed up deportations" besides just being so abusive & miserable that people gave up, though.

Between Nov. 29 and Dec 11, ICE detained nearly 3,000 people per day at Camp East Montana in El Paso. This is the largest facility in the country.

Even then it doesn't change the very real limits to personal agency, but really hard to keep that in mind while watching Guardsmen fist-bump DDOs as they're loading people in shackles into ICE vans. 🙁

Florida Soft-Sided is new to the ICE roster. It first appeared on the list in November 2025.

From October 1 to November 28, ICE detained an average of 1,225 people per day at Florida Soft-Sided.
