There is nothing that pisses me off more than the begrieved white man who believes he's had to "apologize for being white." White women got their own issues so I'll only speak from my own perspective. Here's my hot take:

There is no bigger loser than a white man who can't make it in America.

Looking forward to RAM being the hot-new organized crime racket. @greatdismal.bsky.social is a prophet after all.

Man... I had to get new tires for my car. I liked my car okay with the tires it came with, but I put some three peak rated all-terrain tires on them and have now driven them from MA to MN and back twice, plus all the usual stuff... and honestly I didn't know tires could make me really love my car.

Antelope meat makes good sausage. But, you know, "hunger makes the best sauce."
Would you eat an antelope? A 12-hour hunt for an invasive species shows how America’s appetite for wild meat is reshaping conservation and culture.
Can a Return to Hunting Change How America Eats?
A hunt for nilgai in Texas reveals how the appetite for wild meat is reshaping conservation, culture and the business of invasive species.

Two old walkers trying to shake off the after effects of Flu had a nice stretch around Wormingford this morning. Orange Peel Fungus caught our eye, as did these trees appearing from the early fog. Redwings, Yellowhammers of note. #essexbirding

The fact that in 2025, with climate change being undeniable, another war is brewing over oil, is mindfuckingly infuriating and saddening.

At Oak Lawn United Methodist Church’s nativity, Mary and Joseph are silhouettes, surrounded by a chain link fence topped with razor wire. Their halos are old bicycle wheels. A shopping cart and two metal bins, frequently used by the unhoused as firepits, flank the scene.
Dallas church’s nativity evokes immigration detention centers, homelessness
“If telling the Christmas story honestly feels political, that says more about our moment than it does about the gospel,” Rev. Rachel Griffin-Allison, senior pastor at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church, said.

This is the freedom of being a "nerd." The lack of awareness or care that your deep love of mushrooms, RPGs (both the kind you play with friends and the kind that blow up - why not?), trucks, whatever isn't everyone's cup of tea is its own blessing.
My advice: Like what you like and don't worry about anyone who tells you it's cringe. Life's short and the world's on fire, and as long as you're not hurting other people, you're fine. I mean, I still like U2, too! I don't care who knows it. If other people don't like that, that's a them problem.
I love U2. I feel like I could have glided along, enjoying them, if it wasn’t for that damned internet. Now I am on the defensive or lying low with my fandom. That’s happening somewhat now with Taylor Swift. She’s the biggest star in the world but the backlash has begun. “Mom pop”?

I for one will not be absolving anyone who suddenly finds the president’s rhetoric a bridge too far. Losing their red hats won’t erase their support for legislation and policies that “other” people and have a direct impact on whether or not someone is free to peacefully live their life.

Michael C. Rockefeller got shipwrecked in 1963, washed up on an island, and was promptly eaten by cannibals.

State rights, amirite?
This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

I'm sure it's fine that 4 guys own 90% of the media we consume, and three studios own all the movie studios, and streaming services.

I'm sure we'll still get a diverse set of ideas, and morals, and... lol. lmao
