Improving election security is of course important and we have a lot of colleagues doing research work in the space and should pay attention to their findings and recommendations as always.

It's entirely (unfortunately) possible lackluster turnout, disinformation, gerrymandering, and overconfidence cost the bulk of swing states last year. And that reaction to a horrific six months caused this swing. We have to look at every possible cause and the facts to be successful in 2026 and 2028

I know it's tempting to look at yesterday's election numbers in America and speculate about lack of 2024 election integrity, but I really caution against doing so without measured skepticism and evidence. Trust in overall election integrity and certification is vital to US stability going forward.

High crimes and misdemeanors.
Russian media shares this video of a Russian tank with both Russian and American flag flying while they attack Ukraine. Of course no word or push back from agent orange! This is such a slap in the face to all Americans. We don't side with war criminals.

9 people were killed in a tornado last night in KY. The NWS office responsible for that area has faced some of the most extreme cuts by the Trump administration, including the loss of overnight forecasting.

Last night, they were rushing to find help for the office.

Taking a bribe in a very public way doesn't mean you aren't corrupt, it means your corruption is shameless.

This is a spectacularly bad take. From your article: "Certain buyers, in interviews and statements, have said they bought the coins or entered the dinner contest with the intention of securing an action by Mr. Trump to affect United States policy."

This is the very definition of corruption.
Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.

From the 15th minute to the 25th, supporters held up flags reading “We are not all here” in English and Spanish. NSC security told them to take them down. They were ignored and remained up.

As one person said to me “this isn’t political, this is our community.”

I dare say that judges are collectively getting fed up with being ignored
GodDAMN this ruling against Apple in the Epic lawsuit is brutal. This is a judge who is outright furious at a company and it is not going well for them.

100% wrong. It's much worse. They will be defending the military law enforcement in all of the wildly unconstitutional activities that the EO otherwise seems to authorize.

New in PN: Lisa Murkowski reveals the ugly nature of Trump's rule

"Trump is not a normal president who governs through persuasion and political savvy. He constantly resorts to coercive threats. A system where that becomes normal isn’t a democracy. It’s a reign of terror."

Federal criminal folks...Having zero experience in Federal criminal matters, is this normal? Arrest and then present to Grand Jury?!?! Isn't it usually the other way around?
Per the minute entry from this morning's proceedings after Dugan's arrest, "Government advises this matter will be presented to the Grand Jury on a date to be determined and is not seeking detention." storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
