Re: data centers. Strongly, strongly recommend looking into where the AI data center is drawing water from to cool the servers. Aquifer? Local river? Where?

Using water to cool servers is bad for everyone, and it's not discussed as much as electricity costs.

Great story. Can't overstate the desperation in creative industries right now. Nearly every person I know who previously had a viable, or even lucrative, career in media/entertainment is in a financial panic, leaving longtime apartments, desperately taking any work they can find. It is really bad.

Went to see The Long Walk. It was bleak and hit hard. One of the scenes was almost exactly like what you'd see on the news. And then I realized: this movie is now contemporary, because it's possible. Feels like 1985 all over again.
