Is there something a little bit odd about A CHANCE TO CUT IS A CHANCE TO CURE and BODILY FUNCTIONS being released in the same year?

It's a tough business, especially now that most people who might take up homebrewing are lifelong digital natives.

If your local homebrew shop is mid-pivot to also selling cheesemaking supplies, or hydroponic gardening equipment, or disc golf accessories, etc., they're probably already struggling.

I think 2001's a pretty good year for hip-hop albums, especially more indie-leaning stuff ('The Best Part,' 'Labor Days,' 'The Cold Vein,' etc., etc.)

Here's the first single from Dilated Peoples' 2001 album 'Expansion Team':

Me: So, Flea made an Andre 3000 record, this might not be entirely terrible.

Tom: "His delivery is somewhere between Sun Ra-style chanting and hardcore-frontman ranting.... "A Plea" turns into an actual plea to "live for peace, live for love" and to "see the god in everyone.""

Me: Well, I'm out.

For World AIDS Day, ACT UP New York has created posters as part of their Healthgate campaign, which capture the deadly consequences of creepy RFK Jr as head of HHS.
Dismantling Healthcare = Death!

Rick Springfield would've been 32 at the time--I'm guessing there's someone older, but it's a start.

Hakeem Jeffries is borrowing a slogan from a bad book written by a venture capitalist in an effort to light the same fire among Dem voters that Joe Biden did when he said 'nothing will fundamentally change.'
