I think we can all agree that the temperature of our nation's social discourse feels higher than ever. Too often, the space once reserved for thoughtful dialogue has been consumed by partisan division and hostile disputes. Pritzker is doing more than most governors, but at any moment he and Chicago mayor could simply stop cooperating with ICE and other agencies conducting illegal activities, or arrest them. The Chicago police are working with ICE and DHS, even though they are literally getting teargassed by them!

To be fair, the ADL long ago ceased to give a shit about actually existing antisemitism in favor of criminalizing acknowledgment of the existence, humanity, and human rights of Palestinians. But hopefully people who still actually support free speech will take note.
