Bike ridership on the Galloping Goose Trail completely blew past previous April records this year! Good weather surely helps, but this April surpassed even peak summer numbers experienced less than a decade ago.

I'm sure the rat and mouse populations downtown keep them happy. I live across from a patch of greenspace in Downtown Victoria and get Cooper's hawks, red-tailed hawks and barred owls with so many squirrels in the area.

I was over the moon when I first saw a humming bird hawk moth hiking in the Sooke Hills this spring - not one, but two on the same trip!
