Yeah, I’ve seen him when he gets going. He’s a dude.

To be honest, Elko’s style of play (and Smart, others) is more my jam, typically. Which is what complicates his presence in college Station. So anything resembling a competent commitment to moving ball on ground gets me going.

Ha! It was such an unexpected and welcomed sight for a team that consistently has had issues putting the ball into the end zone inside the 5 yard line.

I love him. His rage is so palpable. He wants to be anywhere other than that room talking about that game at that time — which is relatable. I hate losing.

Had that thought when the AP dropped. There shouldn’t be a world where Tulane or UNT is left out with a win over a ranked team at the end of the season. JMU doesn’t have anything to compare to that. But the fact that they’ve kept JMU one place head is def concerning.

*intensely pointing finger* Don’t you ever apologize for who you are.

… I think the question becomes what is a good and correct balance (which is subjective) and what are we willing to forgo in the support of one or the other.

Agree. I do think there is room for a discussion about priorities and the overall value as it pertains to relative investment in either. Ostensibly investment in academics should yield a better individual which contributes to a better educated society. Athletics is fun and important, too, so…

I think you’re right. The precedent is there with FSU.

But I also wonder if the SEC commissioner doesn’t hold some sway here in a way ACC couldn’t…

This is 100% going to happen, isn’t it. “Sorry you don’t have a coaching staff. Through no fault of your own.”
November 30, 2025 at 5:57 PM
That’s what I’m going with. It’s a spicier storyline.
