Grumpy old woman, loves dogs, sci fi and my family. Loathed the last Tory government, not too impressed by the current one either. Boomers may have voted for Brexit but it is Gen X who insist on maintaining it! No DMs
The Government is planning to send King Charles to the US to celebrate with Trump. Giving him a royal visit right now sends a terrible message that his behaviour is acceptable. We can stop this if enough of us speak up. Will you add your name to the petition? you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/ca...
Call off the King’s visit to the US for the 250th anniversary of America's independence
With the current political chaos in the US and Trump’s failure to adhere to international norms, and given his apparent obsession with the Monarchy, calling off this visit would send a powerful messag...

Farage is clearly worried about Polanski if he is already insulting him. Polanski is a great communicator and the Greens are a threat and he knows it.

The Daily Mail: a daily drag on the nation’s sanity, dignity and prosperity. Rocking back and forward in the corner shouting that Brexit was a win and improving on our relationship with the EU is a BeTRaYaL of all the special things it cannot name.

Subverting failure. How very dare we.

Starmer's tweet couldn't be clearer but a bit awkward when one of the main government comms platforms literally does this as a feature now

The kind of entitlement that thinks it deserves a media megaphone and public sympathy. Absolutely no inkling it should just STFU.
So tired of these clueless selfish wankers.

The lesson of history is that tyrants cannot be appeased.

Appeasement only feeds their insatiable hunger for power.

Tyrants prey on people who feel unsafe and vulnerable.

But without mass submission, a tyrant is powerless.

Remember this.

Fixing Brexit’s damage isn’t ‘betrayal’

Every attempt to limit Brexit’s damage is branded a “betrayal” – but it’s the broken promises of 2016 that still haunt Britain

As @robfordmancs.bsky.social says, why would the EU negotiate anything ambitious with us like a Customs Union when they know our ridiculous voting system could put Farage in power on 30% of the vote who would tear it up. There’s a pro Europe majority but we need #PR to express it and reassure the EU

Zack Polanski has said the BBC is not fit for purpose, that's because it is stuffed with Tory plants picked by US billionaires.

The only solution is to clear it out, fire the Chairman, fire the board, fire the executive directors, fire everyone in management.

And start anew.

So, Trump sues the BBC for $5Bn and puts the technology deal with the UK on hold until the US gets more concessions.
Anyone still deluding themselves about that “special relationship”? No. Just the tedious parade of simpering MAGA dickheads - led, of course, by the traitorous Farage.

Keir Starmer has authorised an "urgent" review into the extent of foreign interference in British politics as he prepares to change the law to tighten donation rules.

That’s good news but a full public inquiry into Russian interference in UK politics and democracy is still needed
🚨A Petition calling for a full, public inquiry into RUSSIAN INTERFERENCE IN UK POLITICS AND DEMOCRACY has hit the threshold for a debate, but a debate isn’t automatic. MPs need to show support.

Email your MP NOW & ask them to publicly support the call for a Commons debate

The truth is everyone in the UK should be getting a payrise and every public service should be getting increased funding, and we should be doing it by punishing the billionaires who have been punishing everyone else for 15+ years.

He's the worst president. Ever. And even among the very worst humans to ever hold the office of "president" in any country. It's downright historical how bad he is.

That's before we get to the fact that he's a shit human.

‘Reforming’ or leaving the ECHR…A raising of false expectations, based on populist dishonesty.
A demonisation of immigrants to mask the failures of government.
Lies about sovereignty.
A cynical refusal by politicians and media to tell us the truth.
So very Brexit.
