This is criminal. One reason black lung is becoming worse is that as thick Appalachian coal seams are mined out, the remaining seams are thin. The result? More silica-rich sandstone and siltstone must be removed to get the coal. More silica dust + weakened protections ≠ loving coal miners.

Pretty flawed logic. If Dems had passed M4A anytime since Clinton had been elected, there would have been fewer chances for Repugs to gain power. Current prez promised "affordabilty", & has failed miserably, & people are fed up. If Dems grow a spine, things CAN change. bsky.app/profile/mcub...

Didn't think so, tbh, but it's not that surprising either. It's like he wants to "change" things, but only so far as to not affect his personal accumulation of wealth. M4A would be cheaper, and help EVERYONE, but he'll stop short of supporting it if he can't profit off it.

Yes. We must extend the ACA tax credits so that over 20 million Americans don't see a doubling in their health premiums, on average. But we must do more. We cannot remain the only major country not to guarantee health care for all as a human right.
