NEW: By a 6-3 vote, the Supreme Court blocks Trump’s deployment of the National Guard to Chicago to assist immigration agents. A majority holds that he likely lacks authority to do so. Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch dissent. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...

This would have been unthinkable under any other modern President. Trump sets new lows every day.

Kavanaugh goes out of his way to pen a footnote not having to deal with the case at hand.

He appears to be trying to narrow the forces he unleashed with his prior opinion allowing for race- and ethnicity-based #KavanaughStops

This is indeed a huge loss.
BREAKING: Huge loss for Trump administration at Supreme Court, which rules that the Trump administration had lacked authority to federalize and deploy the National Guard to execute laws in Illinois. s3.documentcloud.org/documents/26...

Trump loses big at Supreme Court. We win. WSJ just reported that the Supreme Court upheld a dist ct and ct of appeals ruling temporary ruling that it was illegal for Trump to call the National Guard into IL. This good news and a cause for hope.

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

Conservative Harvard Prof. of Economics Roland Fryer says Trump's misguided deportation policies: mistakenly sees immigration as an economic threat, increases the chances of immigrant crime & falsely assumes deportation will solve cultural anxiety about immigration. WSJ 12/10/25, p.A15.

WSJ reports today that WH aides are trying to get Trump to focus on public concerns about inflation, but Trump is "at times" more focused on his "peacemaking" efforts abroad and his plans to build a "sprawling" WH ballroom than on the high costs consumers are facing. WSJ, A4, 12/8/25. Out of touch.

WSJ reports today that Trump administration issued a national security report which criticized Europe as a threat to freedom but never mentions Russia as a threat. However, every Western European Country has ranked higher on freedom & democracy than the US per Freedom House rankings. WSJ A1, 12/6/25

Doesn't the fog of war require a war
Q: So you didn't see any survivors after that first strike?

HEGSETH: I did not personally see survivors. The thing was on fire. This is called the fog of war. This is what you in the press don't understand. You sit in your air conditioned offices and plant fake stories in the Washington Post
