NYT bestselling biographer and big mouth, now coming to you from the wilds of New Mexico. Come for the Muppets, Star Wars, and Dr. Seuss; stay because I make a mean cocktail. Up next: the U.S. Capitol. He/him. Go Lobos 🐺
I’m going through the nearly-final galleys for THE CAPITOL, and I *love* this two-page splash the designers opens the book with. (Forgive the poor print quality, my printer is running on fumes..)

I'm gonna cheat a bit on this one, because it's not really a *video* game as much as it is a computer game (Infocom called it "interactive fiction). Playing this through to the very end (along with my brother @ambignostic.bsky.social) was one of the most satisfying gaming experiences I've ever had.

It’s cold outside, so it seems like a good night to catch up on THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION in front of the fire.

I love the way my mom displays my books at her place.

And there’s the goddamn ICE ad again. During a New Mexico game. Not a good look, @espn.com.

I’m in DC for a family gathering, so I thought I’d run by the Capitol today….and it’s closed. Ah well. It always photographs great regardless.

I’m sorry Tom feels this way. I loved this episode—and as a resident of New Mexico, I thought our state looked magnificent in it.

One of the many reasons I love living in New Mexico: as the students exit, they’re played out by a mariachi band.
