A government that does not serve its people, but instead seeks to subjugate and commodify them is tyranny. The only correct response to tyranny is revolution.

-But they were def part of Tren de Aragua

-actually no

-But TdA is real and active in Portland

-We can't name single crime TdA has been involved with in this city

Dems continuing to be useless and enabling the fascist police state? Color me surprised
I am begging Democratic leadership to recognize that funding and legitimizing your authoritarian opponent’s secret police is a bad idea.

This should not be a difficult concept.

The investigation appears to be the first since Oregon officials warned the federal government in November that they would investigate and prosecute any federal agents who use force “beyond the reasonable scope of their duties.”

Partial confirmation of what my source told me. The victims only traveled a short distance- sounds like they just left the immediate area. Meanwhile the CBP officers left the scene and at least didn't pursue them very hard.

Did they panic and run? Get lost?

I keep hearing "identify these people so they can face consequences later"

Brother, there arent going to BE consequences later. Who exactly do you think is gonna swoop in and fix things?

Do something about it now, not later.

Do not accept the idea that local officials can't do anything because the FBI "cut them out."

They should run their own investigation. If the Feds try to stop them they should force them to arrest cops and DAs. The mayor should go on TV demanding the release of his officers.

No business as usual.

KATU reporting says that Portland Police responded to a report about the shooting and found the two victims. Which suggests the CBP agent who fired was not still on scene, either bc he fled or bc the victims somehow got away while injured.

Collective action at work. We keep us safe.

As to whether its legal: Observing is completely legal. You know whats NOT legal? Detaining people without due process.
Citizens are tracking ICE in real time to warn migrants. Is that legal?
