why are my credit reports all frozen?

a.) i'm paranoid (justifiably so, just read this thread)
b.) it took me almost a decade to get completely debt free
c.) now that i'm debt free i live by the rule if i can't justify buying with cash, i don't get to have it
d.) i know that makes me weird

I finally gave the drone the info they wanted because the damage clearly had already been done. They said they would then investigate and "if it was determined to be fradulent, it would be removed."

"I AM TELLING YOU, I DID NOT APPLY FOR THIS."

I then called Capital One wanting to know how this happened and to, uh, remove me from their records. They demanded to get my address and social security number "so they could process the request". I replied no, that was actually why I was calling, this was info THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE.

Someone else named Scott Jennings in Florida applied for a Capital One credit card. They somehow decided he was using my phone number (?) and social security number (!!!!) and processed it using that.

Thankfully I found out because I had all my credit reports frozen so it bounced. (cont.)

Being able to romance characters in Baldur's Gate 3 that aren't exclusively for the young straight male gaze? The capstone to YEARS of diligent effort, snuck under the noses of the corporate execs. I'm why Astarion isn't a big-tiddy goth girlfriend and I won't apologize for it any more.

this is already active, just not using that company's gimmick. Everyone hiring is overwhelmed with thousands of applications , most of whom are in no way qualified. they filter them using ai solutions, which are too dumb to actually work.
