This crosses my mind a lot when, say, people are complaining about various non-profits are forced to buckle to Trump's federal rules. This is a much tougher decision because the alternative is often 'the non-profit doesn't exist inside of two months'.

Don't get me wrong, I think we'd be getting much worse results if Trump decided to go after New York and Hochul/Adams first, but a lot of what's making Pritzer successful right now is the fundamentals favor him in a way that's not true for a lot of people who have to stand against Trump. Newsom too.

I really don't want to discredit what Pritzer is doing but my hot take is that a huge part of the reason he's effective right now is that he's in a great position to fight. His city is directly under attack, his state is financially strong, his own police force is huge, he is personally wealthy.

Because again, the data shows that in the US, Hispanic folk attend church more frequently than white folk.
