Our 1/2 husky has a head smaller than her neck. There is no collar that will permanently stay on. The last time she and her partner went walkabout we found the collar on the ground. Now we have an extra gate on the walkway so it’s harder to accidentally leave the gate open. Oh, and they dig, too.

So that can be what gets worked on this week if you have time.

This has not been a fantastic year for my garden. The PNW has been drier than usual, we are going into the fall with a 6” deficit in water. I didn’t water my garden enough in the early weeks, so everything was just scrawny. But it’s ending better than it started. 🌱

Here are the suspect photos being shared by the FBI Salt Lake Office. I wanted to reproduce them here to not drive traffic to x. The photographs of the person of interest, show a man wearing a baseball cap, dark sunglasses and a black long-sleeve shirt with an image on it.

Maggie and Tiramisu are standing by for scratches and hugs. Honestly, I didn’t pose them, they do this on their own.

🌱 Not my garden, but I wish it was. These are pictures of an around-the-corner neighbor’s front yard garden. I’m as green with envy as their garden is green with plants. I want a vegetable garden as lush as this one. This is only a 20x15 foot area at most.

Our green beans got off to a slow start this year but have come on like gangsters this past couple of weeks. It’s not exactly clear from this angle, but they are making a grab for the house by attaching themselves to the eaves. I’m going to trim them back a bit tomorrow. 🌱

At the risk of jinxing things, we’ve been having the best luck with our pool staying clean and not needing massive amounts of work this year. Here we are, late summer, and it couldn’t be prettier or more refreshing. Not your usual PNW backyard.

It got warm so quickly! We were out walking and it started at 56, after 30 min it was 5 degrees warmer here in Olympia. Oh, and then the dogs got out of the yard and I had to chase them through the neighborhood.

My garden is simply not as verdant as it has been the past few years, but we are getting some tomatoes, snap peas, and now the carrots and onions are coming in. Today’s bounty. Note the chewed on carrot curtesy of our little pup, Tiramisu. She snatched it from where I set it down when I looked away.

Post a pic of when your pet was little. Tiramisu will always be little in stature, but mighty in heart. She’s doubled in size since this pic, and that’s about as big as she’ll get.

My niece Ella made this fabulous wedding cake for her step-sisters wedding. It has 7 layers in three tiers, lemon cake with blueberry syrup, lemon curd in the center and a lemon cream cheese and mascarpone frosting. She decorated with edible flowers and berries. So good.

My 65lb dog just made me get out of bed because the bedroom door was open fractionally to small. Heaven forfend she use her snout to push it open which she does perfectly well when opening my door. No, it is not open wide enough so I must open it further.

Hey @darthbluesky.bsky.social, Maggie and Tiramisu were both added to our household after losing two dogs last year, one in May and the 2nd in Dec. they are best pals together. Tiramisu loves to use Maggie as a resting place to play with her toys and watch the world go by.

We lost two pups last year, one while you were hibernating. And we now have two new dogs, Maggie, a husky/golden mix, and Tiramisu, a chihuahua/poodle/other mix. They get along reasonably well.

Post a picture of when your pet was little.

Martha was small enough to sit on the food pail when we brought her home from the shelter. She eventually grew to 60lbs.
