Yes the "liberal" press could take an interest in this one but the UK has no mainstream news outlet that isn’t extremely antitrans and thrilled to publish any lies in service of that agenda
At one point, the right wing press printed a story that 1000+ families were part of a law suit over Tavistock referrals for puberty blockers.

The only slight problem was that at that point, there hadn't even been a thousand kids referred.

OK so maybe a bigger problem was it was all MADE UP.

The perverse gift of the current American president is that news orgs can neither present his words verbatim nor edit them in a way that accurately conveys his intent and sometimes I feel like the way to handle that would be to get an actor to read them, maybe the one who did Gerry Adams.

I think that these 8 Senators are falling on the sword for Schumer and other Senators who wanted the shutdown to end. This allows the majority of Senators to save face; and only retiring or not up for reelection Senators take the heat.

It’s a ruse.

The massacre of the ethics/safety teams and the internal reorientation away from anything that hinted at broader purpose (with exception for the more profitable bits of natsec) is a story that has yet to be properly told.
there was an incredibly stark change at my job between 2023 and 2025. just absolutely day and night.
i dont think there’s ever been a point where corporate america has had a sincere sense of morality but it is probably a sign of the times that the culture at most major firms does not even pretend to encourage ethical behavior anymore. the transformation is really stark in tech.

I've looked at all the details of this deal to end the shutdown reached by a small group of Senate Democrats. I've talked to a number of friends on the Hill to see if there's anything I'm missing. Sadly, I am not.

This is a shit deal. It's a betrayal. It's cowardice.

Yes the Roberts majority has destroyed SCOTUS’s legitimacy, yes Trump shoulda never gone to SCOTUS asking to starve people, but in the world we live in KBJ did the best she could to control the process and let CA1 put its reasoning on the record before her colleagues disregard it without explanation
KBJ threaded the needle thanks to CA1’s unfinished business.

-if she denied the admin stay, the full SCOTUS woulda stepped in to override her.
-if she immediately referred the case to the full Court, they coulda dragged feet.
-instead she boxed them in to act quickly once she does refer the case.
