Bob Ross art from his 1983-94 TV show will be auctioned to support PBS.

30 paintings will be sold. Two were auctioned for a combined $210K earlier this year.

Compiling Telenews clips and trying to i.d. unlabeled reels as I go. One is a clip of Izola Curry, who stabbed Dr. King in 1958, found by incl "cat eye glasses" in my search. Another is Elsa Maxwell at a bullfight in 1959. If you'd never seen Elsa Maxwell, how would you figure that one out?

HOLLYWOOD won a Peabody Award for Kevin Brownlow and David Gill, so we have their U-matic entry tapes here in the archives. This is one of the shows that made me want to become an archivist. Worth watching.

PBS North Carolina has laid off 32 employees.

As much as 27% of staff is expected to lose jobs at the state-wide public broadcasting network, which has served North Carolina for 70 years.
