former residents of the hard-pressed enclaves/exclaves were given a choice of nationality as part of the settlement, which echoes the Good Friday Agreement (although there the comparison abruptly ends!)

he means Muslims, he possibly means Hindus, he probably does not mean Jews or Sikhs and he quite definitely does not mean Christians, he's also interested in skin colour but not in a good way and he's Chair of the Conservative Party apparently

Partly yes. Years ago women would do a lot of that land work around school hours etc but society has changed & both parents need to work full time these days. Plus the constant drive to lower production costs means food production is a full on 7 day a week effort now

Kevin Hollinrake, [neither had I] who is apparently Tory Chair, doubles down on hating urban areas. Waiting for first media person to ask specifically or speculate which communities are exempt from these disparaging and highly selective strictures

My Nan loved Vim. Always had a pot under the kitchen sink and deployed it often. I too remember the rusting claggy circle of holes at the top of the tin from when she'd tip it back-and-forth on a damp rag before going at it with the offending mark or stain.

you can understand how the Vim myth has taken hold, but why would you when so many better highs were to be found in kitchen and toolshed

Vim was crude powder gunk, which could do any job, there were a number of 'Household Highs' but Vim was not one of them despite (later) visual comparisons

You think this is a wind up? Not a bit of it. India was concerned about any implicit messages being sent to China or Pakistan, but we should celebrate peaceful means. Willem van Schendel's book now looking a bit out of date en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tin_Big...
