Looks like there's a new slew of users showing up here from the other place and bringing a bunch of baggage with them.

Will share some moderation / blocklists I've been using in the replies to this thread. Not comprehensive, but they do make the experience here more tolerable.

The no new taxes on online gambling political ads from the “Sports Betting Alliance” airing during football are really something. Bet365, BetMGM, Draft Kings, Fanatics and FanDuel are the advertised members.

Autoimmune diseases affect as many as 50 million Americans and millions more worldwide. They're hard to diagnose and treat, and they're on the rise. Now, scientists are decoding the biology behind these debilitating diseases in hopes of eventually treating the causes, not just the symptoms.
Disease of 1,000 faces shows how science is tackling immunity’s dark side
It's one of medicine's biggest mysteries — why sometimes our immune system attacks our own bodies. Autoimmune diseases affect as many as 50 million Americans and millions more worldwide.

Do we really need “deep reflection” to recognize what is going on in the United States and this administration is a stark contrast to the Ten Commandments and teachings of the Jesus in the Bible?

Those without faith can see it clearly.
Those with faith need to say it loudly.

After a cautious start, Leo has now begun to find his voice and on Tuesday called for a "deep reflection" on what has been happening to immigrants in the United States over recent months under President Donald Trump.

New — While some states have received SNAP benefits for November and USDA is supposedly pushing through all federal payments soon, that doesn’t erase the psychological terror of the last few weeks.

I spoke with 20+ SNAP recipients in 16 states about preparing for a possible future with no food:
The voices of SNAP
Recipients have become political pawns. They explained, in their own words, what Trump withholding funds has been like.

Maybe instead of focusing think piece articles on the problems the Republican House members now face in 2026 election, focus on the fact they aren’t working. They do not function as a check and balance. People are fed up.

Don’t trust early vote tallies from New Jersey until more is reported. Much of NJ is “mail-in” vote at township drop boxes since height of pandemic. Couldn’t be easier or safer. How each town reports those numbers vs in-person and in what order today varies greatly.
