The good: Excellent soundtrack, rhythm gameplay that makes sense and has a lot of variation despite being simple

The bad: missing voice lines, some unfinished-feeling segments, z-fighting, general jankiness

Worth it, I'd say.

It's also deeply unserious, IMO, that people get tangled up in defining clear boundaries for what counts as a game or not. Even a very linear game like SOMA

The most memorable one is Ira, a nurse and teacher originally from Brooklyn who joined the game's resistance forces for humanitarian reasons. She's not a good shot but will warm up to it, and says "I have other plans" in a very thick brooklyn accent if you tell her to do something she doesn't like

One of my favourite examples of a game that does this: Jagged Alliance 2. You control a group of soldiers hired from around the world or recruited in-country to overthrow the country's ruler. Many playable characters will refuse orders to attack unarmed civilians.
