If I wasn't aware that this is just a confluence of market incentives driving this behaviour I'd feel compelled to argue that reporters like this one have bought that AI is here because they're too stupid to pass a turing test themselves. They're not stupid though, they're complicit. Hope they choke
I mean it looks pretty, but there's multiple remakes already for free by the community and I don't think any of them use AI voices
in the US I believe the typical sweetener was corn syrup whereas internationally it's more often cane sugar. I made the mistake of buying a fancy-looking soda one time that had "real cane sugar" as a product feature before realizing that all the sodas I'd ever had were cane sugar, lol
give him a composter, cauldron, bucket and flower pot
So if someone in a "safe blue" state dismisses the people in a "safe red" state as all deserving of the bad policies because they voted for it, it's still affecting a lot of people who *didn't* vote for that stuff.
There's a couple of different types of arguments being had about a potential breakup of states, but the big one that annoys me is when people describe whole states as red or blue when even a "safe" state might only have 30% of eligible voters turn out for the party that gets elected
IMO a big element of the problem is a lot of these AI videos are presented as real things that happened in the world, whereas an animated film about animals doing silly stuff is generally assumed to be fictional and doesn't claim otherwise.

Animals are defined by what they don't do as much as what they do. Same with actors and artists. Making them do stuff they didn't actually do isn't creative, its destructive. Its destroying what they are and replacing it with something else
anyway this isn't exactly conclusive but that's the impression I got, and I kind of feel like all the power level stuff kind of gets handwaved for dramatic effect regardless. fun show though
The subs I've got have this exchange between Luoli and her father shortly after she glues Nice to the wall:
"Loli! Don't act tough!"
"His power will be whittled away by the armor I'm wearing! I can handle him!"
"But no matter how weak he becomes, he's still a ranked hero of the Commission!"
I only watched this like yesterday and was confused for most of it, but wasn't it mentioned that a prolonged fight against Luoli's armor would drain his powers? Maybe that applies for the whole spaceship?
I was initially suspicious when I first saw the OP image too, and if I had to guess it's probably the warm light hitting the character's hair and lacking the normal telltale signs that would flag something as a render to me (aliasing, hair, plastic skin).
I think all of the listed games are worthwhile experiences that you actually have to play for yourself. The effect is incomplete if you watch someone else play, read a review or otherwise attempt to bypass the play itself.
Lots of good (and awful) opinions in the quote tweets, here's 5 games I think are really good art, and cannot be replicated properly in other media:
The Talos Principle
The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood
Pathologic 2
Rain World
Receiver 2
(honest question) what are the “good” video games? artistically i mean, not in a “i enjoyed this escapist slop” kind of way
Well. It's not Red Dead Redemption 2, but it's like one of three video games I'd genuinely consider good.
I gotta rewatch the end of Golden Wind
Multiplying large prime numbers?
I think it's good that a bunch of otherwise-disengaged people are becoming alarmed and active about the horror of what's going on, but "No Kings" is not enough and it really needs to be said that a big protest, a scathing critique or a landslide election doesn't solve the problem.
Does this monster represent gamers?
I've never written anything before but something tells me that if your plan involves more than like 5 books, you should probably rethink some things
