Utility Meterologist | San Diego | VT Meteorology ‘23 |

Fascinated by inclement weather and subseasonal #S2S processes. Chaser when weather & life permit. Generally focused on west coast weather.

Opinions are my own and do not reflect my employer.

Hello all! I am an operational meteorologist currently based out of San Diego. I work in the utility sector and primarily focus on inclement weather.

I originally studied and storm chased in the Mid-Atlantic. Look forward to weather analysis, occasional chasing, and subseasonal musings here!

Remarkable view of #BombCyclone west of Oregon & Washington and associated #AtmosphericRiver west of California this PM. Fortunately, the strongest winds will remain well offshore, but very heavy rainfall is likely across portions of northern CA into weekend. #CAwx #ORwx #WAwx

‼️ SoCal rain ⁉️

Confidence is increasing that Southern California will see it's first notable rain (atmospheric river??) of the wet season early next week. A frontal boundary will provide lift to tap into ample moisture aloft. Deep warm cloud processes will result in efficient rain rates. #cawx

Feast or Famine in SoCal with the upcoming Pacific Ridge weather regime. This pattern tends to promote inside sliders which are often on the drier side for California. Surface high pressure behind these systems can create #SantaAna & #Diablo winds.

Monitoring for now. #cawx
