The whole Trump Reign of Error has become an infinite, shitty soap opera.
A relative writes stories and books and self-publishes. He sends me a lot of his manuscripts. As I get older, it gets more stressful. He doesn't accept criticism or many suggestions, and often replies defensively. Lots of self-praise. He isn't a hopeless writer, but refuses to learn. Tired of it.

That glazed donut I just gobbled sent waves of goodness and goodness into my mouth and brain, surely that means I should stack the experience like bricks to get the most powerful benefits for my body, whaddya mean that thing is bad for me? How can it be? Something is wrong with my mouthbrain!

unpopular opinion, I'm sure, but Michael Fanone coughing "go fuck yourself" is less a glorious moment and more like some troublesome kid in middle school. I understand the sentiment, what the dude said was a pernicious lie, but to me, it's an expression of powerlessness in the face of sure rule.

school being canceled because the president sent armed thugs to harass and imprison the populace for voting against him should be the biggest domestic scandal in american history

I want to buy books from Barnes & Noble. They have a tremendous online selection. But each time I have there is always a delivery hiccup, an extreme delay, a package that is mysteriously in the ether, not sure where it is at all.

Again, peak banana for me is greenish yellow. The flavor is high and tart and sweet and incredibly delicious, the texture like a crafted dessert. As an adult when I enjoy bananas like this, I'm reminded of all the squishy, nasty, overripe bananas I had as a kid, and I thought that was a banana!

If Trump had any desire to be a writer - oh my - his online name would be something like 8+ Major Prize Winning Author, Author Donald Trump. He would hire a ghostAIwriter to use AI to crank out shitty books, then stiff the bastard and switch to another one like a roll of toilet paper.

whaddya know, UPS delivered a big and difficult package to my front door instead of to the complex package room. What a gift! Was gonna have to break it down and make several trips.

Interesting how evil evolves from a good person doing something wrong, then denying they're wrong and other people join in that denial to progress from that point forward as if that road was clear for a thousand miles.

If approval for a government candidate even appears in a preacher's fart, the congregation will vote for that candidate.

5 will turn out to be low. Many billionaires, especially the most fanatical libertarian sort, actually know that climate change is going to bring vast social chaos, famine, and mass panic. So they've decided it's too late to stop it, just make as much money as you can and hoard resources and power.
Rushkoff's preview of our genius elite plans, which was a funny story the first time I heard but has certainly evolved what with the single-minded focus on destroying state capacity.

2. I believe I would have had earlier, more frequent success if I had started going to conventions in my early 20s. It's good for young writers to do this. If you have socializing problems, it gives you exercise there and you make friends. And the steelshut doors to publication become permeable.

1. I've always had a difficult time socializing, seeing and talking with people. I didn't start going to writing conventions until long after I had sold and published many pieces of fiction. And my social unease at that age had crystallized.
