It's peacocks for us. This is from last spring and they're still around. We hear their calls across the neighborhood. Thankfully the dogs have gotten used to them.

I followed my suspicions and found a nest on the patio. I hung a sling from the patio roof and shifted the whole works about 4' straight up, out of reach and notice of the dogs. Momma bird has returned.

Here is the nest. There is a little plastic bucket covering it up. I hung a sling from the patio roof and took the containing box and all about 4' straight up. No more pictures - ever - and waiting to see if Momma comes back.

The cute dog is Tillie (Matilda Irene). When I set up my Bluesky account, it was a picture I had handy. This is the uncropped photo including the boys. All are rescues.

From a few years ago. Kitted my son-in-law out with backup bike and hitched up the trailers. I'm towing granddaughter, SIL pulling the tree, and daughter taking photos.
