Would you call it a quirk of mathematics or a failing of ergonomic engineering that the majority of machine control systems are designed for greater than the average number of human hands and feet?

My next door neighbor was a teenager in nazi occupied Paris. She knows what it looks like with gangs of bullies swaggering through the streets.

You do not in fact have to praise the guy who said homeless people should be murdered with lethal injections and then apologized four days later to save his job. Let's get a grip here.
Brian Kilmeade deserves praise for his apology.
Brian Kilmeade apologized for his comments about homeless people getting lethal injections this morning on Fox & Friends, saying "so many homeless people deserve our empathy and compassion."

Here's the clip of his apology 👇

Am I getting old?
Am I losing my sense of whimsy?

I'm having lunch at my desk and realizing I no longer peel down strips of my string cheese or read the imprint on the inside of the lid to my yogurt.
But I still take the time to watch silly dog videos, so I'm not entirely burnt out.

RFK Jr. rolled out that old chestnut again about how healthy Americans were in the 60’s, so here’s a fact check.

In 1965:

-42% of American adults smoked; it’s 11% now.

-The infant morality rate was 24.7/1000; it’s 5.6/1000 now.

-Overall life expectancy was 70 years; it's about 77 years now.

So firearms are the greatest cause of death of children in the US. But if we stop vaccinating them, then maybe disease will come to the forefront and people will stop talking about gun control.

Is this the Republican logic?

In your area, in broad terms. A bit of care is in order when reaching into small spaces or turning over boards.
We rescued this pretty little baby from my water meter box. I found it, and hubby was able to retrieve it and set it free. Yes I know what kind of snake it is. Yes we set it free. It didn't want anything to do with us it just wanted out and to slither away.🌱 🐍#spokanegarden

When my father was fifty I couldn't have imagined him riding a bicycle unless it was a performative act of silliness.
When the kids, at Becky's urging, got me a bike at 50 I never looked back. I have been a year-round utility cyclist since.

So it's never too late to change.

I have officially reached the, "You kids get off that grass!" level of old-manhood.

If you're unclear what I mean, that statement is not a regret, it's a warning. 🤨

I know someone who was a teenager in Nazi occupied Paris. She has told me of some of her experiences.

For those who haven't been paying attention, Nazis, then and now, are bad.

Tis the season -
Pedaling home last week I found some kids with a lemonade stand to help me the last block home.
Out for an errand today I found another stand. This pair had the benefit of a Soda Stream.
Returning another way I saw two kids pulling a trolley with a cooler and a folding table.

Today I picked up my copy of Tina that I had ordered in to my local bookseller. I was pleased to learn I wasn't the only person in town to do so.
