First: if it's "easier" to write relatable villains than relatable 'good guys,' that means something and should be considered as an independent question. *Why* have villains become so popular in recent decades? Because they reflect people's lived experiences within a broken system.

i'm opening up my world to you to say, "this is how my life is" under the assumption you will understand it too. because really there is no gold standard to the mundane

seriously, i don't understand why i got so hung up on scrivenings mode. i can embed obsidian notes in whatever order i want to with just a few extra keystrokes. it doesn't need to be drag and drop, i can just use hotkeys to move the embedded lines up and down. LOL

once the first draft is done then i can port the writing into one of those other apps for fine-tuning the manuscript in order

but only once the first draft is done. right now there is no first draft and it just needs getting written.

obsidian is more than enough. it may not have scrivenings mode or manual revision snapshotting or any of the fancy frivolous shit i want from other applications

but i can write in it wherever i need to, it saves my work across devices, and i can format text in it — and that's all it needs to be

socially adjusted guy in the back: actually all you have to do on these apps is talk to people

me, opening discord: i've never talked to anyone in my life

microblogging's better for discussion, but my goals for life feel antithetical to arguing with strangers online

but bluesky's not like that... right
