Over 800 workers at OEM Remanufacturing chose to leave CLAC in favour of a real, democratic union.

Real unions make it easier to do the hardest work out there. When unions thrive, our industry sees growth in good-paying jobs, higher safety standards and quality results on the job.

Today’s news story from @kimsiever.bsky.social

The workers at Ironworkers Local 725 in Calgary are some of the hard-working Canadians exposed to tariffs.

We’re stepping up to protect their careers — making it easier to buy and build with Canadian steel, moving away from relying on imported steel, and investing in retraining and supports.

Prime Minister @mark-carney.bsky.social shared the Canadian Government's plans to build a new pipeline to the West Coast at the Ironworkers Local 725.

The BTA and its affiliates were honoured to connect with the Prime Minister on this exciting news! Our members are ready to get to work!

Always a pleasure to meet with my friend, Terry Parker, from the Building Trades of Alberta.

There is a lot of work we can do together - protecting Canadian jobs, stopping Company unions like CLAC, and getting Canadian workers rights enshrined in law.

This Veterans' Week, we honour the sacrifices of the Canadian Armed Forces.

That's why the BTA is honoured to partner with @h2hcanada.bsky.social to help Alberta's veterans transition to the unionized skilled trades through the Skilled Pathway Program.

The BTA welcomes this proposed legislation from @heathermcpherson.bsky.social

The Building Trades Unions are proud to build greatness with our owner and contractor partners while remaining accountable to our members. Undemocratic labour organizations like CLAC are creating a race to the bottom.
Company unions drive down wages and silence workers...and the Liberals are funding them.

I’m bringing forward legislation to ban company unions and make sure every union in Canada is democratic, independent, and accountable only to workers.
