The frozen yogurt of people: Fine, but no one's first choice. Film person/aspiring filmmaker. @Burtonesque89 on Letterboxd. I blather on about movies and SNL and Futurama/The Simpsons and the Tim Burton oeuvre, and there's very little else to me.
Never let it be said that 2015's FANTASTIC FOUR does not have a legacy - a wonderful, terrible legacy.

See, THIS is what leapt to my mind when I saw the title of Stevie's next picture.

I admire this path to a plug (and still gotta see that SUPERGIRL).

I would be very interested to hear what fans who were watching in '86, when Victoria Jackson was new, would think of the comp., though.

I mean, we can talk from range or lack thereof, but...Victoria was both a bit more natural in live sketches (and got more shots to BE IN live sketches early on...but then, her cast was half the size of this one) AND awful to deal with in real life, so...no but also tough call?

At any rate, this show sure is a pendulum. I think my favorite example of one week being pretty killer and the next being pretty galling is the Fred Willard show being followed by the Frank Zappa incident.

Re: "pandering," the low for this season, to me, remains the, "Hey, young people, you know K-POP DEMON HUNTERS? US TOO!" "sketch"...but there were a couple meager moments along that line. "Star pieces"...I mean, every generation has 'em and they come in good & bad flavors, but...not the best here.

The strongest feeling I have about this episode is my insistence that there should neeeeeever be a live action RATATOUILLE and anyone who fantasy-casts for one is part of the problem.

It'll happen at some point, though.

Here's something: Seeing this in my notifications, it took me a second to remember what it referred to as I was reading - so evidently, I'm just in the "forgettable" space about this one.

ADDENDUM: I'm secoond-guessing that "often-solid #SNL."
December 14, 2025 at 7:41 AM
I have so few strong feelings about this episode, including our host, who rarely *registered* to me. Josh O'Connor is a very acclaimed up-and-coming actor, and he was good in the strippers and "Characters on Actors" sketches but otherwise...could've been anyone. An often-solid, rarely strong #SNL.

I guess I find this song actively irritating now? That's my takeaway from this last sketch - which I'd be into if I were into this song/Lily Allen, I suppose. #SNL
