Finally broke out a router my dad gave me and it turns out it's a beast. The cordless one I was learning on wasn't enough, even with a large-ish battery, so this will have to do. The other day at the gym, I put up 195 for four so that's going to be my PR for 2025.

Impromptu Christmas tree lots used to be more widespread throughout South Philadelphia and a lot of times they would be 24/7. This is probably setup to close/open as it can get staffed but they used to be as simple as a stakebed truck parked on a corner with a sign on the side. #philadelphia

Pleased to see the Christmas tree vendor is back outside Jefferson Square Park. They've been disappearing. For outsiders, Philadelphia had/has 24/7 tree vendors who would park a dumptruck full of trees on a corner or take over an empty lot and it would be staffed throughout the season.

Being an old nerd/geek in 2025 is annoying. Coming to terms with I'll never get eight people together to play a giant game about establishing civilizations in the ancient world or a monster like World In Flames. Going through complete old Warhammer stuff and it's not even worth it to put on eBay.

I messed up. I wanted to go to PAX Unplugged this year and I forgot it existed until yesterday when a coworker lost his shit at "kids today" because he saw someone buying coffee in the lobby with big fake animal ears on.

It's saturday at work. you know what that means- work on my 2026 planner/habit tracker before doing Spanish homework and working on the shelves i am building for my workshop.

first monday off in a couple weeks after a slew of six-day workweeks. Had off Saturday and took my wife to the dentist for surgery. Yesterday was kind of a wash except for doing wash and vacuuming and mopping upstairs and the stairs. Today has been different- doing a one for me and one for us deal:
