Europe can’t rely on the strength of the transatlantic relationship to help contain Russia’s threat – it must lead from the front and be the true force of support that Ukraine needs. Not just for Ukraine’s sake, but for a free and sovereign Europe.

The latest Ukrainian air and sea campaign is absolutely devastating for Putin. While Russians are bleeding to death for tiny villages in the Donbas, Ukraine is targeting economic neurocenters of Russia's economy.

The oil depot in Liski, Voronezh region, Russia, is still burning.

What is happening to Russia’s oil and gas industry is monumental defeat for Putin, and you can assume that Ukrainians will unleash much more the coming nights.

All of this. And also I’m happy @andrewperpetua.bsky.social is on here.
Here is the Issue for Putin:

Putin invaded Ukraine for 2 reasons.

1: as punishment for rebelling against him, to send a signal to everyone else that he is the leader and cannot be questioned

2: To keep the west out of Ukraine at all costs

Norway will allocate its largest military aid package in history for Ukraine - over €2 billion. This elevates cooperation between the two countries greatly. The question is, if Norway can make victory a priority, what could Europe do, working together? What is the estimate, based on collective gdp

NATO is to blame for this war for 2 distinct, russophobic reasons.

1. They were seen by our former colonies as being a better option than Russia is
2. They actually were a better option to our former colonies than Russia is.

I, for one, am a huge fan of the technology of the immovable political border, which has prevented more violence than any other technology in the history of mankind.

It’s clearer every day that we (Europe) are in an somewhat failed marriage with the US. It started off great with them saving us from the worst aspects of ourselves, but now we don’t have the capability to save them from the worst aspects of theirs. Some time away will be painful, but needed.
