40 yr old crazy lady that tries to make her entire personality learning science, listening to metal, watching horror, reading smut, and being a proud leftist
I read 35 books this year, which is about a 1/3 of what I normally do. This year has been rough for so many people, I’m not going to beat myself up because at least I read some. That’s better than nothing. My favorite was The Last House on Needless Street by Catriona Ward.

It’s the last day of the year and it’s been a helluva doozy, I’m ready to usher in some hope. May justice Finally do its thing in 2026. I want pedos convicted and locked up. I want Israel and Russia to go fuck themselves. And I really want to read that big beautiful obituary.

The hard truth is that December is always make-or-break for our newsroom. A full one-third of all the funds we need to practice the journalism you rely on comes to us in December.

Donate if you can. We'd greatly appreciate it 🫶 tinyurl.com/y6wzer7w

I want to add some context here, trucks are only running one trip a day in most of the country. Meaning they drop off today’s mail and take yesterday’s back to the plant in one trip. To avoid problems, vote early and get those ballots in the blue box well in advance.
Hey so this seems like something more people should be talking about 🤔 🗳️

Kids bored? Bring them to the library. There is so much more than books. We also have puzzles, Wii games, ABC Mouse, coloring, and other crafts.

I should probably find something for this beauty to climb, she’s spread out probably 5’ across.

My current self care project is accumulating songs for a new playlist. It’s very cathartic. So what if I cry if I focus on the lyrics? If that’s what it takes to rid myself of this pain, so be it.

First day at the library alone and of course everything has to go to hell. The computer system is down, so I manually have to check out books.

I love the opposition between the beautiful lyrics and harsh vocals in Lorna Shore songs.

How is it possible to feel everything and nothing at the same time?

Another shit day for the books, I found out my car is costing me $1500 to fix, so here’s a cute picture of Rosco taking a nap to brighten everyone’s day.

They will come up with every excuse in the book before they admit they’re stealing the money.

AOC: I want to remind you where the real crime is. It's in the oligarchs taking $170 billion of our money from health care and food assistance and public programs and taking that and funneling it into a secret police program.

Just finished Vicious by V.E. Schwab, solid book. I enjoyed it. I’ve figured out I can knock out a 9 hr audiobook in about 2-3 days, so that’s cool. The book I’m reading, Rhapsodic, on the other hand I’m about to DNF. Not a fan of grooming age gap bullshit.

Am I the only one that thinks a 20 foot wingspan on a character in a book is flipping Ridiculous? TWENTY?! And the guy is built like your typical romance male character at like 6 foot something. Wouldn’t it be more realistic if it was like 10 feet across?

Omg! I am freaking STOKED! I just got a job at my local library as a fill in librarian. This is a childhood dream come true. I’m a librarian 🥰

The only downside to using a percolator is the coffee is way too goddamn hot to drink for hours! Made my coffee 75 minutes ago and it’s still hot enough to scald. I just want my friggen caffeine fix 🫠

Just finished The Last House on Needless Street, on audiobook, and Holy shit! It carved a place out inside me and rearranged something’s around. I highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Learned a new favorite Bible verse today as an atheist;

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid. Proverbs 12:1

Can Christians please start following these other verses in the Bible that aren’t trash? Please?

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.
