A really big deal today: the runoff in Poland’s presidential election.

Brief stakes: A center-right candidate faces off against a far-right candidate. The former controls the government; the latter party already has the presidency & using it to veto rollbacks of its earlier authoritarian laws.

I'm endlessly kind of baffled by the lack of urgency on housing California. This is the state's number one problem—a crisis so bad that's imperiling national Democratic ambitions. And all we can pass are heavily compromised bills that take effect in like five years, if ever.

Watters: So many reasons to make this a state. I think it has the third largest oil reserves in the world… I don't know if Canada is going to go along with it, but there's ways to maybe change their opinion.
