I know it’s not just ME but to place it under a big umbrella naturally leads to social and psychological treatments only and that is what has halted specific research into the biological nature of ME. In the case of ME the holistic ideas have been weaponised to stop real investment into the cause.

I really enjoyed the comment on your piece by @longcovidadvoc.com

It’s an important piece.
There’s a lot of digging to be done to get to the roots of why ME has been ignored, disbelieved, gaslighted and abused for decades. Until these are brought to light I fear that ME will remain stuck at the mercy of a few powerful people who’s careers depend on that stuckness

@tessamunt.bsky.social the above might be of interest. We #pwME are so grateful to you for all the work you are doing for us.

I knew Tory ministers could be cruel, unfeeling bastards. But the insouciance, even mockery, by Labour ministers towards people convicted of no crime, who are at imminent risk of death as a result of an unconscionable period on remand is on another level altogether. They are revelling in it.

This is obvious to all but the Labour front bench and, of course, McSweeny. Is this a blind spot or a conspiracy?

I’m so sorry. Commiserations and empathy on being manhandled by a psychiatrist (person with ME here!)
Maybe I should have written ‘person handled’.
