Been reading through Lord Have Mercy Upon Us by @caesar-ink.bsky.social and I’m still obsessed with the index/random encounter table/dust jacket.

Such a clever feature. I long for a bookmark version tho, just I find reading a book with the dust jacket on to be a bit awkward.

Not all join the guild willingly. With such matters, heirarchy can make fine chains. A helot is tasked with keeping the more insubordinate guild members in line, while reporting to those born in better circumstances.

Just.... wow! @megapolisomancy.bsky.social was 100% right - as soon as I finished the last story, I started all over again from the start. Probably won't stop dreaming (nightmaring?) "Balloon Season" for a while.
