When I took the cats to the vet last month they had a tablet in the room running an AI transcriber, didn't even mention it to me or give me the option 🙄 (they at least paused the recorder when they left the room, which was the only reason I knew it was being used!!)

Update: second one with temperature modifications looks MUCH better than the first one. After it baked uncovered I ended up throwing them both in for 30 minutes covered with foil to make sure the bottoms were cooked through. Deeply unfair that I have to wait until morning to taste mine 😭

I'm not really a "new years resolution" type of guy, but since listening to How We Survive this season I've been trying to be more mindful about food waste. Today I took all the saddish apples and plums in my fridge and turned them into this (experimental) apple plum slab pie with a crumble top

I know I'm posting and reposting a lot of rage-inducing stuff rn, so here's a service doodle to shake things up a bit. Her service dog test includes being able to work in restaurant settings, so today was her first 1 hour trial at a cafe. She did great aside from occasionally laying in the walkway 😅

Fun encounter on our nightly walk. Servicedoodle was entirely oblivious but sat patiently every few feet until we could get close enough to get a good photo without scaring him. Nice of our neighbor to provide a free buffet!

I really like this "Mac Sports Rock n Lock Director Chair" from Costco! The rocking motion allows me to adjust my position frequently so I don't get sore. Folds up relatively compact. I sit in it for like an hour a day when I'm playing fetch with the dog

Our dentist office is so great with AuDHD kids. Super flexible and willing to change plans and reduce demands, was even willing to do some of the procedures last visit while he stayed in his wagon. Alas, even with a service dog, lorazepam, and weighted stuffie/blankets, it didn't work. On to G.A. 😬

PSA: if your end of summer peaches are starting to get a little sad, put them in a salad with leaf lettuce, beets, goat cheese (I only had feta, which is also fine), honey roasted pistachios, and a white balsamic vinaigrette

I shouldn't even have to say this, but PLEASE don't bring your pet cat to Costco. It's not funny, it's not cute, it's disrespectful to people with allergies, and every non-service animal taken into a store makes it so people with legitimate service animals face more scrutiny

Finally tested negative! Took a break from testing for a few days because I couldn't keep spending $10 a test to be disappointed. Still masking around the pets (the kids are gone for the weekend) for a few more days to be safe, but when Monday rolls around, my face will finally be freeeeee
