Another disaster. This one has actual harmful consequences for trans kids and their families.
Under the proposed rule issued by the Trump Administration today, any Medicare- or Medicaid-participating hospital would be barred from providing gender-affirming care to *any child*, even if the care is not paid for by Medicare or Medicaid.

This is why Newsom and Buttigieg should be nonstarters as 2028 candidates. We need people who will fight for marginalized groups and not capitulate to the right to seem more "Moderate." If they want to be in the tent, they can agree to uphold the basic party tenets, end of story.

Also the irony is that getting detained by ICE or having to leave the country because your TPS is revoked isn't actually considered a valid reason to break a lease so people in detention and people who flee have to keep paying rent or attempt to find someone to sublease from abroad/jail 🙃
