Advance Wars 1 & 2 if you’re into tactics game, Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, Hamtaro - HamHam Heartbreak, and Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town are my recommendations! Also, not sure if rom-hacks are doable, but if you’re feeling like a fresh Emerald experience, Emerald Seaglass is v cool.

Honestly, as someone with much interest in GoT… agreed. Same with Patrick Rothfuss and the Kingkiller Chronicles. Also a pox on everyone who keeps saying Brandon Sanderson should finish them.
