I was asked what language Oczy would have written his book in - Polish or Latin. That’s a very good question. That’s gonna depend on a few things.

In the last episode we get the largest amount of legible Polish writing yet! I had a blast deciphering it. It’s pretty good! Much better than Jolenta’s letter from ep. 15. Use the slider to see the image with and without my annotations It seems to be a letter of recommendation from the reverend in the church. Presumably the one who pushed Albert onto this path.

We’ve finally gotten more than one polish word written down at a time. And that’s where the problems start! Props for trying though!!! It’s really fun to see Polish on screen! The letter from Jolenta starts off with a big mistake. On the back, it says “do ojciec”. This is supposed to mean ‘to father’ and if you looked up those 2 words in the dictionary, you might assume that this is correct.

Since one (1) person was interested in my rant about the Polish elements of Chi (chikyuu no undou ni tsuite) i decided to make a whole thread about it. This might take place around the 14/1500s, since it’s very loosely related to the story of Copernicus (Kopernik), the guy who, as we say in Polish, “stopped the sun and moved the earth” in P Kingdom - a fake Poland.
