The Premier is blaming young people for graduating into an economy that is leaving them behind.

We need more supports for young people entering the workforce.

NEW: As unemployment sits past seven per cent, Ontario Premier Doug Ford's office says he doesn't yet have a view on whether the foreign temporary worker program should be scrapped.

He says young people aren't looking hard enough for jobs. #OnPoli

Liberals have been very concerned about mis- and disinformation in recent years, so when Mark Carney says carbon capture will allow for “decarbonized” oil, we should be clear that he’s engaging in active disinformation about climate change to please Danielle Smith and the Alberta oil industry.

The first time Charlie Chaplin used his voice in a film, he wielded it to forcefully condemn the rising forces of fascism around the globe.

Will we listen to his words today?

So Doug Ford and Danielle Smith are going to build a pipeline through the fragile lowlands of James Bay to a deep water port that doesn't exist.
Ford won't build roads to reach Indigenous communities but he's going to build a pipeline so oil can be shipped to other markets.

“I absolutely disagree with Carney that the economy and market forces need to be used because the economy itself is driving us into the ditch. It’s based on the creed of cancer — steady growth — and you can’t have endless growth in a finite world.”

Mark Carney and Doug Ford pushed through legislation to override Indigenous land rights.
This is not "nation building."
It's about getting the riches of the Ring of Fire from the delicate peatlands of the James Bay lowlands.
The Indigenous resistance is rising.

I am begging Canadians to look at government policies objectively and then ask yourselves "If Poilievre was behind this, would I be mad?"

A horrifying amount of you are in a partisan cult where you're re-framing terrible policies as Good Actually! just because your guy is behind them.

All life is connected, & we’re currently on track to learn this truth in the most painful way possible.

Thinking of Shannen Koostachin.
She was 13 when she stood up to the government's discrimination against Indigenous kids.
She launched the largest youth rights movement in CDN history.
We lost her at 15 on this night.

I've updated this graph with what looks like fairly probable numbers going forward.

Maybe I'm being too pessimistic, too optimistic, let me know.

And maybe the specific numbers are less important than the scientific certainty that our civilisation is slamming into a wall.
