The Tabasco Fiasco and Chad Little were so ubiquitous in toy stores in 1997 that some bootleg company decided to rip those designs off for generic models rather than cars people actually cared about.

Mega Monsters was a bat-! crazy idea for a scripted monster truck series where each truck would have either a "gunner" or a cannon to shoot paintballs at the other trucks. Heel and face trucks, etc. Pitched in 1993 at the height of American Gladiators. Monster Wars beat it to the punch.

So my post about ToCA yesterday led me to reinstall the PC version of ToCA 2 I got from Goodwill last year. I found a widescreen patch online, too. Talk about a perfect sequel. Looks and plays so much better. Dare I say, a perfect series-licensed game for 1998.

I love it when Boston pops up in games I least expect it in. Destruction Derby Arenas has cameos from the Federal Reserve Bank Building and 100 Federal in the skybox for the Under Construction track.

I’m actually really impressed with this. It’s a bit on the glossy side, but if they chose to put full #IMSA decals on it you’d be hard pressed to tell it apart from a Mini GT. Solid work, Hot Wheels!

The signed Schrader car doesn’t really make sense here with the Pagenaud collection but I’m running out of case space and it’s at least in a place of importance.
