Added his name to mine at age 9.
Took too long to write 26 letters on timed tests.
Started writing "Rachel S-L"
Kids noticed.
It became my nickname.
Been SL or Esselle ever since!
Didn't even answer to "Rachel" until after Uni. 😆

My genes go back to Sparta, which was a matrilineal city-state, cuz the men were expected to die in battle. Leonidas of 300 fame was married to Queen Gorgo (Gorgon mythology traces back to Sparta)
