The petition period has ended and appears to be unsuccessful.

I've decided to work independently from CalExitNow (hence the name change). While I appreciate their work to file the petition, I think working independently is better for me.

A list of California state politicians for those who wish to follow and pressure them into putting the California independence referendum on the ballot.

Followers, there is a List for California's state politicians on this profile. I'd suggest following them all and making sure that when they propose a weak response to US fascism, you let them know you want California independence on the ballot. Independence needs to be normalized.

California could be benefiting from America's decline as an independent country rather than being dragged down with it.

Independent California Institute's YouGov poll shows 44% support for peaceful secession from the US. This is a record high. I suspect numbers will continue to rise. Let's put it to a vote! [see profile for how to sign petition]

California should not be part of this. Sign the petition (see profile for instructions).

The Supreme Court approved this today.
Gosh. If only there were an historical analogue we could study to learn about the horrors of rounding people up without due process and sending them to torture camps in other countries.

It is worth reminding every American today that the people who hid Anne Frank were outlaws. The people who sent her to die in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp were law-abiding citizens.
It is hard to express enough how terrible today's decision is.

ICE will now send people to countries they've never been to or even heard of — Mexicans to South Sudan, Vietnamese to Libya, Venezuelans to Kosovo —and those people will have no right to challenge that decision.

Trump regime ICE troopers attacked an elderly woman (legal resident) selling tamales, they manhandled her so violently that she fainted, then threw her on the ground and stripped her, she had to be hospitalized.

She received medical help after US citizens intervened. #StopICE

Or perhaps, independence?
A brave 20 year old US citizen that stood up to ICE, Adrian Andrew Martinez, disappeared by the regime. His family currently unable to find him after being kidnapped by regime troopers.

His mother: "I have no idea where he's at. I don't know if he's okay. I'm really worried right now." #StopICE

The claims that McIver, Padilla, and Lander were committing assault should make you question every other time LEOs claim assault or resisting arrest, if you weren’t already.

Anti-War Protesters between 1967-69 were routinely mocked as "Hippies" & "Red Infiltrators." After all, there were hundreds of thousands of Americans in S. Vietnam.

And in 1976 there were NONE.

The egg shows little response under pressure, until it cracks.

We’re announcing new legislation — the No Secret Police Act (SB 627) — to ban local/state/federal law enforcement, w/ some exceptions, from covering their faces when interacting w/ the public & require them to wear identifying info.

The secret police behavior we’re seeing destroys trust & must end🧵

Not sure why they're so into Texas v. White. It's such terrible law. It talks about "indestructible states," contradicting the plain language of the U.S. Constitution. Its textual support is the Articles of Confederation (!) and the Preamble.
