In light of the Tiktok shutdown and folks moving over to Rednote, got me thinking about the site Tumblr.
It made me think "How badly did you have to fuck up your company's reputation that people would rather learn Mandarin than go back to Tumblr..."

The sad part is that even when the buffoonery is revealed, there are absolutely no consequences or reflections.
I’ll say it again: the key theme of the last decade boils down to “a lot of people we assumed (and were told) were very smart and competent, are, in fact, as dumb as a sack of boiled eels.”
I find it greatly disturbing that so many people who have their positions because of their supposed intelligence are so ready to outsource thinking to an LLM.
