I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.

He hates bedtime so at one point I thought maybe I’ll make it a thing that he gets some when we go to bed.

And now, years later, he still demands we go to bed with the expectation he’ll be getting treats. Even if he gets them, immediately after he‘s upset it’s bedtime again.

I sometimes give Bean dental treats at the end of the day but always put them in my pocket to surprise him with them gradually.

He’s caught onto this and is currently trying to reach into my pocket.

I cut a lot of “layoffs” before the first draft of this, the biggest note I got from Rog on that draft was that there were still too many “layoffs”, and rather than the Fortnite story it had been “Cyberpunk lets you customize your genitals”
